“The Importance of Queer History” Video Short Debuts

There’s a lot of fantastic material being generated for the Pop-Up NYC show, but there’s one thing in particular that we’re really excited about - our new video short, “The Importance of Queer History.”

Earlier in the year we were approached by Chen Margolis and Frantz Hall, film makers who wanted to document the work the Pop-Up Museum is doing. We met up with Chen and Frantz in Philadelphia for the opening of Pop-Up Philly, where they shot footage of the show and interviewed Pop-Up Museum staff, and a few weeks later, Chen sent us this amazing piece they’d created.

The Importance of Queer History” features footage and art pieces from our latest show, as well as our Executive Director, Hugh Ryan, sharing his vision for this incredible project.
