The Queer Book Diorama Show Opens Friday!

The Pop-Up Museum of Queer History is excited to announce that the Queer Book Diorama Show opens in New York City’s Jefferson Market Branch of the public library (425 6th Ave. @ 10th St.) next Friday, August 1st, with an opening reception from 7-9pm. Join us as we celebrate the relationship between queer people and books – so often the first place where we, as queer people, discover representations of anyone like us.

Below is a full list of the books, authors, and artists featured in the show. All books are available for loan in the NYPL system, as is Zami: A New Spelling of My Name (by Audre Lorde) which was originally featured in the show but was unfortunately pulled by the artist due to scheduling conflicts.
